This is the question nobody wants to ask because it looks silly. But I see it in search data around Liebherr, so here's the honest answer.
Liebherr also has an aerospace division. It builds flight-control systems, actuators, and landing gear for aircraft—including business jets like the Dassault 900. That's a different product family, but the manufacturing logic is the same: precision doesn't happen because someone tightened a bolt harder.
And peregrine top speed? The falcon is fast—just like a swing drive spinning at full speed. What matters isn't the top speed. It's whether the system can control that speed all day, under load, without catastrophic failure. That's the same reason I'd rather pay a documented supplier $1,750 than gamble $1,100 on a part with no traceability.
Bottom line: treat Liebherr excavator spares and swing drive overhauls as decisions about risk, not just price. The cheap quote looks good in the spreadsheet. It stops looking good when the machine won't turn.
